Earlier today, we reported that CAN General Secretary, Musa Asake, was dead. However the death report seems to have made the day of a staunch President Buhari supporter who took to Twitter to show off his excitement.
According to him, his excitement stems from the death wish Musa Asake reportedly had for President Buhari before his. The tweet from President Buhari supporter reads;
Rev. Musa Asake, CAN Secretary-General, the man who said “we have chosen a leader who cannot govern, and he is going to die (ya kasa mulki, kuma zai mutu),”has today returned to the Almighty, if you wish to say, ahead of Buhari.
President Buhari on the other hand, has condoled the national leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Christian community in Nigeria over the passing of the General Secretary of CAN, Rev (Dr) Musa Asake.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina, in a two paragraphs statement said, “The President, while commiserating with the family of the late Reverend, prays that God Almighty will comfort all those who mourn the departed, and grant his soul eternal rest.”
Asake’s death was confirmed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by his younger brother Mr Asake Philimon. Philimon said that Asake passed away in the early hours of this morning, in his Abuja residence after complaining of being sick.
Philimon said the deceased had hypertension. He said recently he complained about pains in his legs and had undergone physiotherapy in the last few weeks before his demise.
“Yes, he died this morning. We are right now in the mortuary. I was with him yesterday (Thursday) in his house,” he stated.
“He even went to see his doctor yesterday and came back home and has shown signs of improvement,” he added.
He said further details of the burial arrangements would be announced soon.
