A female Presidential candidate of the National Interest Party, Eunice Atuejide, has taken to her social media timeline of twitter to condemn feminism.
In her post, the presidential seat aspirant made it clear to her followers that she is not a feminist and will rather not support the movement.
She went ahead to give a personal definition of who a feminist is and made it known that she will not support any of such.
I’M NOT A FEMINIST! Na by force? And who is a feminist? My friend who won’t cook for her husband & kids cos of equality? The one who always insults men bcos she can? Ladies who won’t let men hold doors for them cos it diminishes their value? What does feminism mean?
However, just as expected, her post was met with criticism from some of her followers who believed she could have used her platform to educate the populace more on the quite critical topic and not delve into arguments that will further marginalize women

Your tweet is representative of uniformed beliefs about feminism that have failed women in the past and continues to fail us today. Use your platform wisely to educate, and avoid contributing to the very harmful rhetoric that can further marginalize women.
