In a Twitter post, the governor of Gombe State reached out to musician David Adeleke popularly known by his stage name Davido to “work together” in getting Nigerian youths obtain their Permanent Voters Card (PVC).
Here is what the governor said:
“Hello @iam_Davido. My name is Ibrahim Dankwambo, Governor of Gombe State. I’m a huge fan of your amazing work and talent. I’d be glad if you can use your massive influence to work together with me in convincing our young people to go get their #PVC. Do I have your assurance?”
The If crooner it seems is very excited to be involve in this process as he has replied the governor in a tweet stating that he is on-board with the governor’s proposal.
Here is what he said:
“Anything to serve my Country and my People Sir”
The governor then went further to ask the musician to send him a DM to hopefully strategise on how to achieve their aim.
The musician seems to be getting more involved in politics as this is not the first time he is working with a politician.
He had publicly endorsed Senator Ademola Rurudeen Adeleke who is running for the post of Osun State governor with a quote that reads:
“Osun will be great again”.
It’s no shocking that Davido is mingling with politicians as he is from a family of more than one politician.
His uncles; Sen. Isiaka Adeleke and Sen. Ademola Adeleke have both served as senators in Osun State.
